SITE WALK MEETING
INLANDWETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 22, 2014
PRESENT WERE: Skip DiCamillo, Evan Griswold and Stanley Kolber
14-23 – C-TEC SOLAR, LLC – 14 SHORT HILLS ROAD – TOM & SHIRLEY CAMPO – INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PV GROUND MOUNT CONSISTING OF 24 PANELS
Tom Campo had the area staked where the solar panels would be installed; which is within the inland wetland buffer area. He also identified where the power lines would be installed underground leading to their home. He stated they would like to remove approximately 10-12 trees within the wetlands to allow for a better solar path to the panels. These trees are located in the northwest portion of the property. He also wanted to remove additional trees west of their home which may be within the regulated area. The tree removal was not part of the original application but Skip DiCamillo said the application could be amended to include removing the trees. Tom Campo also wanted to remove 5-6 trees near his home adjacent to the driveway. He was told he could remove
the trees near his home.
Tom Campo was asked if he had a site map identifying the wetlands on his property. The tree removal would not be approved without a site map identifying the wetlands. He does not have a map but said the owner of an adjacent property surveyed the area a few years ago which included the Campo property and the wetlands may be identified on this map. He was told to make an appointment with the Commission’s Enforcement Officer to try identifying this site in the Commission’s past records. He also needs to amend his original application to include tree removal in the other two areas of his property. After receiving the amended application and a wetlands map the Commission would make a second visit to his property prior to the January 2015 monthly
meeting.
